Even the best diversity and inclusion strategies are stuck on paper without the support and commitment of senior management. The Board of Directors and the senior leadership team set the “tone at the top,” and are integral to building an inclusive culture. Composition matters: a diverse senior leadership team shows that diversity and inclusion are valued. Each senior leader has a part to play in advancing diversity within and beyond the organization as well.
