A diverse workforce is best equipped to serve the needs of stakeholders and customers from a widening range of different life experiences and backgrounds. In order to attract and retain diverse candidates, organizations must pair internal diversity and inclusion efforts with sensitive outreach initiatives to meet individuals where they are, and at the right time. Organizations can also build a sustainable pool of diverse talent in partnership with post-secondary institutions, training programs, accelerators, incubators, and community groups.
