The University of Victoria follows guidelines in order to create its selection committees. While the guidelines are directed at selection committees for the academic environment, it is also a model for organizations in other sectors. These guidelines highlight the need to consider the diverse composition of the selection committee so that it is representative of the respective department as well as the students, faculty, staff and broader community at the University of Victoria.
