The document outlines general rules and bylaws for Athletics Canada. The document has some interesting guidelines for Board governance under Article 5, Governance (on page 5), which organizations can adopt to regulate the composition of their Board of Director teams.
According to Article 5, there are 8 to 12 Directors, 4 to 6 Directors-at-Large, and a minimum of two people of each gender. There are also three Athlete Directors with “a minimum of one of each gender, a minimum of one para-athlete and one able-bodied athlete.” Additionally, Article 7 Committees states that Board-appointed committees “shall have a minimum of one member of each gender.”
