5. Is diversity considered in designing and developing products and programs?
An Inclusive, Accessible Office 365
Microsoft Office 365 is designed with accessibility in mind. According to Microsoft, “Office 365 makes it easier for people with limited vision, hearing, speech, mobility, and learning abilities to create, communicate and collaborate on content.” Microsoft is constantly looking to improve Office 365 through feedback and research studies.
Some of the features available for persons with disabilities are elaborated on the Microsoft website. For users with mobility issues, Office 365 allows them to type with their voice. For users with hearing disabilities, Office 365 allows users to give presentations with real-time subtitles. There are also accommodations for users with mental health issues, vision issues, and learning disabilities.
